STORY
At Kati Thanda, Lake Eyre, the land seems to hold its breath between stillness and transformation. In Genesis, the earth appears to open from within, as though something ancient is stirring back to life. Salt, rust, and mineral tones radiate outward in a circular bloom, echoing both eruption and renewal.
This formation felt to me like the beginning of a story — a reminder that even in the harshest environments, new forms are always emerging. The lake is never fixed; it is an endless cycle of arrival and departure, a canvas painted by water, wind, and time.
Genesis speaks to creation itself, where brokenness becomes birth and desolation gives way to possibility. It is a meditation on origins — on the quiet yet powerful forces that continue to shape this ancient salt lake at the heart of Australia.
