STORY
I grew up in the countryside of southern New South Wales, where misty mornings and falling leaves taught me the language of peace. I love this predominantly black and white photograph where the colour red washes through the cluster of autumn leaves. It feels like stepping back into a still vivid memory: calmness in the sturdy trees around me. There is a certainty around autumn - how nature, even in stillness, remains steadfast. To me, this speaks of resilience. The quiet here is its strength.
